IMDb launches a completely free video streaming service

For those who do not know IMDb, it is the largest database of film and TV series in the world. The American site (owned by Amazon since 1998) has just launched a platform for streaming movies and television series. Baptized Freedive, it is completely free because financed by advertising.

For several months, various disclosures foreshadowed the arrival of such a service. As expected, Freedive will be available from Amazon's Fire TV, but it will also be accessible from an Android or iOS smartphone, a PC or Mac, and even from game consoles … at least if you live in the United States. The service is not available in France and nothing indicates that it will be a day. In order for it to cross the Atlantic, it would be necessary for IMB to renegotiate all the broadcasting rights of the service.

On the catalog side, the titles are numerous, but they are not very recent. On the other hand, the nostalgic will feast, we find for example: Quantum Code, Legends of Autumn, Drive, Memento or Heroes.
